CFlo Europe Limited joins WATA UK

CFlo Europe Limited, supplier of modular sand and aggregate washing plants, becomes a supplier member of the Washed Aggregates Trade Association.

CFlo Europe Limited, a subsidiary of CFlo World Limited, has joined the Washed Aggregates Trade Association (WATA UK) as a service supplier member. WATA UK represents UK aggregate wash plant operators, equipment suppliers and associated services, and works to raise industry standards and to promote washed recycled aggregates in the UK’s circular economy.

CFlo Europe Limited was incorporated in Belfast in April 2026 as the group’s sales and service hub for the UK and Europe, ahead of the company’s launch at Hillhead 2026 in Buxton. It is led by Enda Ivanoff, Co-Founder and Regional CEO, with Ryan Barker as Regional Head of Operations and Delivery.

“Joining WATA UK is a natural step as we deepen our engagement with the UK and European markets. Our modular washing plants are designed for operators who want efficiency, water recycling and ease of ownership, and we wish to support this organisation’s development as we grow our markets through our Certified Partners.”

Andy Hill, CEO of WATA, said: “We are delighted to welcome CFlo Europe to WATA. The company brings valuable expertise in washing technology and water management, and its modular approach reflects the innovation taking place across our sector. We look forward to working with the CFlo team and to sharing knowledge and experience as the washed aggregates industry continues to develop.”

What CFlo supplies to UK operators

CFlo supplies modular sand and aggregate washing plants, C&D waste recycling plants and water recycling systems, and for UK quarries the Combo is offered to wash crusher fines, scalpings and as-dug sand and gravel into concreting sand to BS EN 12620 and clean aggregate. The plant integrates all seven functions of wet processing, from feeding to stockpiling, on a single chassis. It ships in containers, is assembled on site, and a new site is commissioned in weeks rather than months. Where a site needs more, units are combined rather than replaced. Construction and demolition waste is handled by the Reurban, which washes debris into specification-grade sand and aggregates on site, and the Micrograder grades silica, glass and foundry sands to specification.

Water recycling is built in. CFlo’s patented water recycling system (WRS), mounted on the chassis, returns clarified water to the plant by gravity, recycling up to 95% of process water and cutting power consumption by up to 30%. It is factory built, self-standing and easily moved between sites, with a very compact footprint. Easysettle, the sludge bay manager, controls the slurry management and settling, and optimises dewatering, so there is far less land taken up compared to conventional lagoons.

The on-board control panel with a touch-screen PLC holds product quality steady while optimising water and energy use in real time. Commissioning and routine maintenance follow step-by-step procedures on a mobile app, opened by scanning a QR code on the machine, so site crews can carry out the work without waiting for a specialist. Plants are factory assembled and CE and UKCA marked. Sizing starts with testwork on the customer’s own feed before anything is quoted, and in the United Kingdom the plants are sold, installed and supported through a dedicated local Certified Partner working closely with the CFlo Europe team.

Proven on crusher dust, quarry fines and pit sand

The Combo is in use in 20 countries, within a CFlo fleet of more than 500 installations. Its design is protected by granted patents in the United Kingdom and the United States, among other markets. GR Infraprojects, a listed Indian contractor, runs a fleet of 11 Combo units across its road projects, relocating each between highway packages in about ten days while meeting IS 383 sand specifications. YTL Cement runs two Combo X70 plants at its Batu Tiga Quarry near Kuala Lumpur, turning crusher dust into 70 tonnes per hour of graded manufactured sand. In Indonesia, PT Rekadaya Sarana Mukti has processed more than 1.5 million tonnes of muddy pit sand through a Combo Alpha at Bunihayu, West Java, to ASTM C33 and Indonesian SNI specifications.

CFlo is currently delivering a Combo Mega E5 to Stevin Rock in the UAE, one of the world’s largest quarry operators, producing more than 80 million tonnes a year, and the Combo Mega E5 will recover and process old waste material from the quarry and convert it into valuable construction sand and aggregates. The Combo range runs to 350 tonnes per hour with the Combo Mega E5. The Combo X220 is the largest of the X-Series, and the Combo Multi produces two washed aggregates and two manufactured sands from a single feed.

“Once a technology has proven itself across hundreds of installations in this many countries, it becomes something operators can build a business plan around.”

Ryan Barker, Regional Head of Operations and Delivery, CFlo Europe Limited

How the Combo came about

More than a decade ago a small team of CFlo engineers set out to integrate every stage of wet processing into one compact, mobile plant, at a time when conventional sand washing plants were large, used a great deal of water and power, and left sludge ponds with long-term environmental problems. CFlo first supplied the process equipment as a pre-engineered kit assembled on site, then designed a single chassis that carried every process step and did away with large settling ponds.

“Every challenge presented an opportunity for innovation, and after several design cycles and trials, the first Combo was built and tested, and the results were remarkable.”

Manish Bhartia, Global CEO and Managing Director, CFlo World Limited

Next steps for UK and Irish operators

UK and Irish operators can have a bulk sample of their feed piloted at CFlo’s Sample Study & Interpretation facility before any quotation, with grading, yield and water balance reported before a plant is specified, and plants are CE and UKCA marked as standard.
